I have added maretron sensors to 6 tanks onboard and need to be able to see the tank names on my cerbo gx v3.41.touchscreen.
The tanks have all been named on the maretron nmea sentences correctly according to maretron but are labeled generic fuel water etc on the cerbo. All the volumes are reading perfectly i just do not know port from stbd or fwd from aft without the names.
I too am having problems naming tanks. I have two fuel tanks, two water tanks and black water tank being measured by a few different maretron products. All work well until I use a fluid pressure monitor to monitor two (or more) tanks. These monitors have six channels and as such can monitor six tanks. When in use more than one channel on the fluid pressure monitor, I get a generic name on my fuel tank and a fully customizable name on my blackwater tank.
All other systems including garmin mfd’s, maretron n2kview etc have no problems discerning tanks. The levels look fine on the Cerbo screen…however the fuel tank wears the label fuel (9) instead of STBD Fuel. Unfortunately it places the tank in the wrong order on the tank screen otherwise I’d live with it.
I’m struggling with a similar issue. For me, it seems I can set the custom name field for any tank measured with an analog sender but not for any tank measured with a N2K sender. Did either of you ever figure this out? Would love to have my tank names shown on my display. Fuel [4] is less descriptive than I’d like
Same kind of names here with RV-C tanks.
Yes, I’m using a Seelevel system integrating with the Seelevel Soul which uses RVC, it doesn’t let you label the tanks, but it does bring in the category. So for two waste tanks they must be grouped together in the tank screen.
Also, it brought in Fuel Tanks, which I cannot hide so they show up even though they are Open Circuit.
Victron please help
