My 10kWh ESS DIY low cost (+_ 3500 EUR) setup

My system where the Multiplus could not be installed close to Mains AC entry nor close to the PV inverter and as a result needed (affordable) WIFI based metering with clamps (not eager to rewire mains).

  • VICTRON Multiplus-II 3000VA 48V 35+32A-GX (600 EUR)
  • SOLAX X1 BOOST 4.6kW with 5.5kW solar (350 + 690 EUR)
  • IAMMETER WEM3080 Singe Phase WIFI meter (2 X) (120 EUR X2)
  • DYNESS POWERBOX G2 10kWh (1850 EUR)
  • Android Tablet (70 EUR)

How about some nice pics to show off your system? Ta

that will be tough as PV inverter is on the roof, Metering in mains Grid Connection box and Multiplus and battery are in my shed …. so not “ not your typical neat blue” installation space (was part of the challenge and required WIFI metering)

Wow, if you really made it for about 3.500 EUR, maximum respect :military_medal: :slightly_smiling_face:

If the two WEM3080 meters are installed close to each other, you can replace them with a single WEM3050T instead.
Its price is only USD 109, which is much cheaper than buying two WEM3080 meters at EUR 120 each.

The WEM3050T is a three-phase meter that can also be used as three independent single-phase meters.
You can use Phase A to monitor the inverter output and Phase B to monitor the grid exchange.
Phase C can be left unused.

Txs did not know! In that case it is a very cheap solution indeed.
