MultiPlusII - shuts off showing low battery warning while BMS is showing battery capacity at 100%

I have a 3000VA Multiplus II at 48V powered by a set of 16cells of 3.2V LiFePO4 cells connected in series through a JK Active BMS, the system has just been installed 3weeks ago but it has just shut off a few minutes back showing a red light warning which indicates low battery yet the BMS is showing 100% Battery Capacity, kindly help me with this situation

Some BMS do not register low current draw very well so it’s possible to drain the battery and still have the BMS reading 100%
As an example the BMS in my Fogstar battery doesn’t see currents below 1amp which most of mine are in winter as there is only the RPi connected. We have had very little sun and as a result the BMS is reading 100% and the smart shunt got as low as 60%.
As the system is new it could also be that the BMS needs a few full cycles to calibrate itself to the battery.

It is also worthwhile getting your meter out, checking what the voltages are, then looking at what the cutoffs are set to on the multi.
There can be different causes, from config to load/battery issues, with so little detail it is difficult to be more specific.
With self-build batteries, how you have configured the BMS is another key variable. So start with the basics and work from there. Good luck.

@KisawuziWalter
pls provide some screenshots.

There two elements calculating SOC:

  • Multiplus
  • BMS

The GX can be configured to use one of those, not necessarily the BMS. If battery monitor or dynamic shutdown of MP2 is configured wrong in Ve.configure this alarm can be raised.

Pls provide VRM graphs for the time of shutdown. High discharge load?
