Multiplus2 48V, 8000VA parallel operation with another 8000VA, is it now possible with PMP482805000

I see discussion on parallel operation of Multi2 8000VA not possible without external contactor. This was year 2022. It referred to possible in the future with 805 model, I am not sure what this is. Is PMP482805000 suitable for parallel without external contactor.

I have the unit up and running, but it has a loud buzzing coming from it, it appears to be from the toroidal. It happens with no charging, batteries off, with AC load or no AC load. Once AC input is live it happens. It is not constant and goes up and down over a 10 or 15 second period. Sometimes it is silent for a few minutes. Disconnecting AC output has no effect.

As per the manual:

MultiPlus-II 8k, 10k, and 15k models can only be connected in parallel if an external AC transfer switch is used. For more information see the MultiPlus-II External Transfer Switch application manual.

Even then, the same rules and limitations apply re age of units.

Thanks Nick, can an E1112 be used instead of a CT. I already have one going to the Cerbo.

Also, on the noise from the toroidal, here is a video with audio for the “buzzing” , which sounds like mains hum.

Can’t see why you can’t use an energy meter.
