I’m having issues with a new installation. Its comprised of a multiplus II GX and a wall mount BSLBATT powerline 5kw battery. The only input is a generator to charge the system.
There are no big loads, this system runs a guest cottage with 5 lights and 3 wall sockets only.
The issue I’m having is an unreliable battery capacity reading as well as the battery dropping voltage like mad for no reason.
Local Victron supplier can’t find the issue and I’m just posting here before I start fighting for a refund. Any ideas what could be the issue?
BSL’s have been known to drift.
None of your images show the battery ever charging to 100% and being allowed to balance there. When last did it get a full charge and balance?
What are the min/max cell differences over the same interval?
What is the BMS CVL, DCL, CCL limit charts showing?
The SOC reported may well be a work of fiction.
Both the inverter and battery are reporting the same voltages, that would typically be worth checking with a meter.
Also worth confirming it is perfectly setup according to the battery guide.
That is curious but it is happening over a few days. If the battery is actually quite low vs what is reported then that might explain it.
Check the connections for voltage loss.
Failing anything obvious, after sorting the balancing then I would have the battery checked.
New batteries need time to sort themselves, if you haven’t ever charged it properly that won’t be helping.
