I recently installed two Multiplus II 24/5000/120-95 configured in a split phase mode. The system has worked perfectly for the past 6 weeks or so but recently I’ve been getting random system shutdown with a low battery warning despite the batteries being fully charged and no heavy loads when the shutdown occurs. Battery bank is 4x Epoch Elite V2 24v 230Ahr in parallel. Once the shutdown occurs I turn off both MP2 wait a few seconds and the system comes on with no issues. Again this is occurring when the system loads are only 20A and a fully charged battery. In VE configure I have inverter shutdown at 21V and when the shutdown occurs the battery voltage is 26.8-27v. The time period between shutdowns is random but can be as short as 2-3 hours.
Do you use a GX device in your setup? Do the batteries communicate with it? Have you measured the DC input on the multiplus with a multimeter when this happens? Have you checked DC side for loose connections or other things that could cause an intermittent contact?
Yes connected to Cerbo GX. Batteries connected to cerbo as is a smart shunt. All Dc connections are confirmed tight. When the system shutdown occurs all other DC loads continue to operate normally and VRM shows no dip in voltage. Again normal loads are only about 20A so on a 920Ahr battery bank there is no way the voltage is dipping. If I were drawing 200A or more then that would be my initial guess.
