Newbie RV Owner here. My new to me Thor 22B has a WFCO 8955pec AC/DC converter. I’d like to add a Multiplus II 2000w. I don’t want to split the AC loads up so I would use AC Output 1 as the input to the WFCO panel and keep the larger AC My loads off when using the inverter.
My issue is the WFCO converter. I want to disable the battery charging function when the inverter is on to prevent the perpetual loop of the converter trying to charge the battery when the inverter is on.
There are a number of posts that talk about this but nothing specific. The converter apparently charges through the DC input leads, there’s not a separate charging lead to the battery that could be switched nor a dedicated fuse to the charger. I know this has been done a million times but it seems like I will either need to feed the DC side straight from the Batteries and remove the Converter/Charger or try and figure out if there is an internal wire that feeds the charger only that could be switched.
I’d like to leave it installed as a backup if possible and switch the charger output.
