Multiplus 3000 does not work with 30 amp to 50 amp dog bone

I have a multiplus 3000 installed in my 50 amp fifth wheel. It works fine unless I try to hook up to a 30 amp outlet. Before I hook up, I adjust the Cerbo amps down to 30 amps and use an 50 amp to 30 amp adapter to hook up to the post. But I have tried this at several parks end every time the post breaker trips. I don’t known if it has to do with the power or assist or what. I was hoping someone here would be smarter than me and have ideas

Thanks
Larry

The victron connects only to L1, the dogbone connects L2 to L1, so your problem might be the L2 circuit in your fifthwheel.

Something like waterheater or AC, that doesn’t run on inverter.

Try removing all L2 circuit breaker in the 5w, then go from there.

What is tripping? Is it a standard circuit breaker, or a GFCI? If the former, I would suspect the dogbone adapter. I have come across faulty adapters right out of the box, especially chinesium. If the latter, then this is a known issue with the MP2 120 versions.

The breaker is a standard breaker on the post. It seems to Happen at some older state parks but not all 30 amp post. I will check my dog bone adapter tomorrow

Just installed a MultiPlus II 24v 2x120 and running into maybe the same issue. 20amp house breaker. Dog bones 50 → 30 → 15/20 work fine without inverter, once I installed the inverter any time I power on a circuit with a load on L2 the house breaker trips. Just turning on the breaker causes a trip even an outlet with a green light and USB ports. You can have all circuits off and the breaker doesn’t trip. I’ve been ripping my hair out the last couple days as we are leaving on a trip Saturday. I finally last night got splices and connected the wiring to/from the inverter to self to rule out any wiring problems. The multiplus is limited to 15 amps on the 20 amp circuit and continues to function properly after the breaker trips powering the whole RV. I ordered a 24v battery charger yesterday so we can charge batteries at least on the trip. I can’t find anyone else yet with this issue and am waiting for a call/email from the vendor I purchased from. Mine was an open box unit, but don’t know if that was a refurb or just a return… I do have an Progressive Industries surge protector hardwired in and have tested in bypass and surge mode with no change. Also multiplus doesn’t matter if in charge or inverter mode. Wondering if it’s just not supported. Also amp draw has never been seen over 2 amps so it’s not over current.
