Multiplus 12 | 3000 | 120 - 50 | 120V Overload Errors at ~2100W

I have a new install and everything seems to be working well except I am getting overload errors on the Multiplus 12 | 3000 | 120 - 50 | 120V with 600ah of LiFePO4 batteries. This happens when my Air Conditioner starts. The A/C is a newer unit with factory soft start installed. I never had this problem with the previous Renogy 3000W inverter/charger. After initial startup the unit runs fine at about 1500W. If I turn on something else in the camper, I get the overload error. It seems to be happening at around 2100W. The dealer says he is not sure what is going on so I need help from somewhere.

Remember this is a 2400W inverter/charger, at 25C. Above that it derates, so it will depend what you turn on.

Transformer based inverters will also lean more onto the battery, especially for transients and worse when off-grid, so your battery (you did not mention what it was nor discharge specs) needs to be happy delivering 200A or more.

I purchased with the dealer said would be sized properly for my system, but obviously it is not. Does Victron make a 3000 W inverter charger?

Inverters are typically rated in VA.so you have a 3000VA system that produces 2400W, as per the spec sheet.

The next model is 5000VA which, iirc, is the last 12V system. Victron inverters are low frequency (transformer based) and will behave differently to a transformerless inverter.

I very much appreciate your help. So every time my A/C compressor cuts on it’s going to show an overload error, but it continues to work. Am I causing damage to the unit to continue to use it this way? Maybe next spring I will replace my air conditioner to a 12v unit.

There are warnings (orange) and alarms (red). The system will protect itself. If there is a real issue it will turn off.
