I would like to be able to connect two DC input sources, one from a Lynx Power In and one from an alternator to a DC 2 DC charger to charge my starter battery.
Is this possible?
In theory you can use a diode combiner to combine the two sources, but make sure that the alternator is a fixed voltage output type, otherwise if it has no battery directly connected to it, it will ramp up its output voltage to the max potentially frying itself or the Orion
It depend of different voltages, but you can use the multiplus trickle charge output to keep your starter battery charged.
