Multi RS Solar without battery

Hello community, I have a customer that wants to expand his PV system with some more panels and in a later stadium he wants a battery as well. So I want to sell him a Multi RS Solar, connect the existing PV to one MPP tracker and add some more panels to put on the second MPP tracker.

In a youtube from @Hhalewijn he says this is possible. Look here: https://youtu.be/MTBLz_9uDrM?feature=shared&t=1028

It is in Dutch but you can figure it out. When I ask my supplier he says it is not possible. Now, who is right? It would be a nice solution for the customer and an opportunity for me to play around with this new inverter.

I would think the official answer as of today, is no. It is not supported.

What happens in future is unknown. This changelog alludes to a PV Inverter mode for the Multi RS, presumably without a battery:

I would not sell or install something today, based on what it might do in future

There was some testing going on for a specific application, but no, it is not supported.

@deon.korb and @nickdb thanks for you quick responses. Now the question is, what happens when I connect the Multi RS as a PV only inverter (apart from voiding warranty)? Will it work?

Technically it should, how reliably or for how long, no idea.
Attempt at own risk.
