Multi RS 5000W feed in limit when using grid meter?

Hi Matthijs, does this also fix the Multi RS feed to grid limit which was alway a hard limit at 5000W?
(topic: Victron Multi RS 6000 limited to 5000W (20,6A) grid feed in when using external current sensor?)

Edit: it does not unfortunately, grid feed in is still limited to 5000W per phase, regardless of grid current limit settings.

I’m not sure where that issue is @vaursechs , and if its a Venus OS issue. But I’ve asked someone to look into it.

Looks to me more of a Multi RS software bug, since the soft-limit is gone once the “support for energymeters” is unchecked in Victron Connect:

But disabling this meter will result in way too much current at the grid meter.

Yes indeed. And what happens if you increase the that current limit with a few amps?

That’s the issue, nothing happens, I can increase it to 40A but the feed to grid remains limited to 5000W per phase or about 21A, even when my AC PV inverter is doing 95% of the “work”, the Multi RS only feeds back the remaining amount until the 5000W is reached.
For example: my SolarEdge PV inverter is producing 4000W per phase, the Multi RS only “adds” 1000W to that to make it 5000W, however when the PV inverter is not producing anything, the Multi RS is feeding back at full power; until 5000W is reached.

Note that this issue only applies to feeding back into the grid, not when consuming from grid.
It seems the grid current setting only applies to feed from grid, not feed to grid.

Hi Nick, I’ve asked internally. Will get back to you.

Have a good weekend!
