Multi II 3000/48 GX with CFE5100 on cable A

Hello everyone,

I was looking for a alternative to UPS situation at my place, and came up with a Multi + LFP battery thanks to a friend that used Victron in pass.

From my understanding (and from what seller was saying) I should install Multi, connect battery, connect them with Typ A or B (both works) and this should work.

From my understanding BMS from CFE5100 battery should communicate to Victron how much charge etc… I installed Multi, configured few things via “virtual” panel thanks to build-in GX support.

Everywas fine until my friend came, launch VE Configure, set many-many settings base on his (bigger) installation and upload it to Multi. The BMS was showing 50% of battery, yet Victron was showing 100% but still was charging it… I have been studing those settings that looks a bit of from what I read on tech spec for that battery…

I just want it to work as UPS nothing facy like self-consumption etc… UPS without pushing to grid.

Should I factory reset that Victron, plug BMS to VE.CAN and it should autoconfigure it by it self ?

If not is anyone willing to tell me what should I configure (I read that VE Configure is being deprecated for the VRM solution, while not having Assistance and VSwitches) so I was thinking that setting all those % V shouldnt be needed ? or I’m totaly wrong and this is the way ?

Edited: He configure Virtual Switches - but I dont have any generator or anything just AC Input, Battery and AC Output1 nothing more

Everything is OK, end up with lowering Voltage based on BMS from battery. Victron documentation was ok
