At one installation I receive alarms from an MPPT RS 450/100 at 250V (5 PV-Modules in series): high input voltage for 1 sec. How can I avoid this?
I think the input is the battery in that case.
Your battery voltage seems to have many peak over 60V.
(you might see the peaks better if you zoom in a bit)
And still, the error is given by the MPPT device, and Error #33 is PV overvoltage…
For battery, I believe, for the same MPPT device, the error is #02…

And if we think logical, for an MPPT, the PV voltage is an “input”, while battery voltage is an “output”
So “Input voltage” seems about right.


You are right, I didn’t check the error code.
But I think it’s still worth checking that battery voltage spikes.
Also it’s worth checking the PV connections and wires…
As the PV panels, in the case of MPPT RS, are connected at the input of a boost-like converter, where several inductors are present, if a weak connection is present, when the PWM switching occurs, transient voltage spikes can happen, which can falsely be detected as high PV voltages.
