This is on a Class C motorhome.
I will have a 390 watt array and a SmartSolar 100/30 on one leg and the factory 200watt Zamp array and 30 amp CC on the other leg both charging the same 2 batteries.
Will the controllers play together ok or will there be trouble charging effectively.
Thank you.
As long as they both have the same voltage settings they will be OK. You will find one goes to float first as they will have slightly different voltage accuracy. This is normal.
Thank you for the speedy reply.
I will be upgrading the Zamp controller to a Victron shortly but will be running this way for a couple months.
I forgot to add, does it matter PWM and MPPT mix?
Thanks again!
PWM and MPPT should mix OK. If you have 2 Victron SmartSolar MPPTs with Bluetooth you can network them together so they synchronise charging. The manuals describe this under VE Smart networking.
Thanks much for your insight. It will be a 2 Victron set up eventually and the ability to link them is perfect. Cheers
