Hello. I have a travel truck that I built and have a question about my solar.
I have 7-130 watt panels going to a mppt 150-85 and I am wanting to add a seperate array of 3-65 watt panels to a 100-30 mppt controller. I am wanting to find some info on the correct way to wire this in to the existing system. Thank you in advance for any info.
depends if your existing system has a GX device or not…
If not: The 2 MPPT’s should be programmed to the same battery voltage parameters.
If yes, then they ALSO both need connecting via VE direct to the GX device.
If there is no GX device, the smart networking of the 2 controllers is also possible.
yes, I do have cerbo gx and touch 50 screen. so, just add a ve cable from charge controller to the cerbo ve extra spot and then run the battery wires to the same spot as first controller?
yes, that should do it. If you can, run the battery cables first, then use VE connect to update the MPPT and to set the battery voltage parameters. Then connect the data to the Cerbo - a reboot may be required, then connect the PV.
