MPPT 100 | 50 Charge Controller

The charge controller was putting out 44v to the batteries on a 12V system (same voltage it was getting from the solar pannels). It was professionally installed at the dealership. It burnt up my stove lights (litterally caught on fire) and several of my 12V overhead lights in my camper. Luckily when the stove light caught on fire, I was in the camper and pulled the fuse. I have a replacement on the way and have disconnected the bad one. What would cause that? The unit is only 3 years old.

Hello, Sorry to hear you have this experience with the charge controller. I suppose the input voltage was within spec? Could you please mail us to discuss this and of course the way we can help you ut on this? (sales@victronenergy.com)
