MPII 48/5000 AC IN only setup

I need to setup a new Victron Multiplus II 48/5000 + 16kWh battery in a house with a single phase grid supply. The grid connection will be upgraded in the coming months, but there is zero info about when that might be. I now only have a 5 x 2.5mm2 for AC-IN but that will change in due time (limitation put on me by the construction company).

Never done this myself, and thus my question for you guys and gals is; has anyone here done a AC-IN only setup. One additional thing. There are three PV systems that I need to keep going. Two Growatt inverters and one Enphase. None of which support frequency shifting. Duh.

Please share your thoughts and advice, TIA

Whst is the purpose of the Multiplus?

I assume this will be a storage system only. You can select G98, which will limit it to 3.68kW and should be ok with the 2.5mm2. The MP II 5kVA produces 4.4kW in this configuration, which could trip a 16A MCB which I 'd expect to be used on this circuit. You will need an energy meter upstream of all other PV inverters. Frequency shifting does not apply to ACIN side PV inverters in this setup. The system will detect any excess exported, which it will use to charge the batteries and when the there is too little power for the loads it will discharge the batteries to serve the loads with up to the 4.4kW limit.

Thank you.

Yes. Correct. For now it is a storage only setup. That is. Until the wiring issues have been solved (going for 5x6mm2) and the Enphase Envoy has been replaced by a metered version. After that, and a smart meter install, a new 3-phase grid connection with 3x25A main fuses are installed. Then AC-OUT can be used and the Enphase can be integrated on that side as well.
