Has anyone managed to get a request DGN working on RV-C with Cerbo GX?
I’m working on a load dump system, heating various water heaters. I have recently moved across to communicating with RV-C. I’m getting all of the information that I need, but the updates from the charge controller (SmartSolar) only come every 5 seconds, which is not optimal.
I’ve tried sending a Request for DGN broadcast for SOLAR_CONTROLLER_SOLAR_ARRAY_STATUS, but it has no effect. I’ve also tried sending an ADDRESS_CLAIMED message, attempting to claim the address of one of my charge controllers, but it doesn’t reply to say that the address is already taken.
It could be that my messages are not formatted correctly. It is also possible that Request for DGN is not implemented on Cerbo. Or perhaps it is not possible to communicate with the charge controller, as it is on the VE.CAN network rather than the RV-C network (It doesn’t work on the RV-C).
