I am wondering if it is possible to use a Single Cerbo-GX-s to monitor three Multiplus II 48v/5000/70A units. They are all running standalone. The way they are being used is as a battery power backup unit for an office. Each one has a 230V feed from the same breaker box and each feeds a smaller breaker box. It seems like I would have to connect them via the Can port, but that kicks them into parallel mode (or something like that)
If you cannot monitor them in this way, can I run them in parallel mode, but yet not connect them in parallel as an output and then be able to monitor them with one Cerbo?
You can not run multiple inverter/chargers in parallel if they are not connected in parallel. The master unit tells the slave(s) exactly how much power to run so the loads on all units must be identical.
You can connect additional inverter/chargers to one GX device but only one will show on the overview page. The others only show in the device list.
Thanks Bart, so because I can not run multiple standalone units, will it work to run them in parallel, even though the outputs are not tied together and then monitor, or will the monitoring be just them functions as one unit and not really know what is happening with each unit?
