A customer is considering having a Victron ESS system with an EVCS installed.
A third party would like to have access to the energy charged to an EV, measured with an MID-certified energy meter, in order to settle CO2 credits with the customer.
Does a separate MID energy meter need to be installed for the EVCS for this purpose?
What is the best way for the third party to access these meter readings?

Yes, the EVCS is not MID-certified, but a new version is on the way that will be.
Does anyone know when this is scheduled?
My last information is mid/end of October.
I’m also waiting for it to come out; it’s probably in the Q4 price list that’s due to be released soon.
We’re also waiting for the new charger with the MID meter built in.
When I enquired with Victron, I received the following reply:
At present, we do not yet have an EV Charger with MID certification. However, we are working on developing a new version of our EV Charger. Whether this version will ultimately be MID-certified has not yet been definitively decided.
The launch of this new EV Charger is currently expected towards the end of 2026. To stay up to date with the latest developments and product specifications, we recommend checking our website regularly.
That was in early September.
