RFID reader in EV charging station

We have an company paid car with an RFID card and consider to buy victron off-grid system

Is Victron planning to add an RFID reader with backoffice for billing? Like reev.com of own solution?

Or are there any existing EV chargers with RFID what can communicate with victron for charing when energy left.

The second generation of EV charging stations will be equipped with NFC/RFID reader.
When? Till the end of the year.

That’s great!!! End 2025 is perfect for us!

Ok and there will be also a (third party) backoffice to handle payments with an subscription?

there are no plans for payment integrated on our platforms. But it should be possible to with 3rd party platforms.

I hope there will be a good “how-to” to connect the new victron EV charger to a 3d party platform which support public charging with rfid cards (like shell recharge cards).

With one good working how-to I think people will not missing integrated payment on the victron platform. (i’m not  )

Hi, can the RFID be retrofitted, for I have just installed a EVCS?

Regards, Sander

Hi, no

Will the new RFID EV charger have a MID certificate so that it can be used to process expenses per badge in the accounting system? Is it possible for it to be integrated with tariffs from the Belgium CREG or other similar sources?

Hi, not sure, we will verify this after we have it released

Are you still on track for 2025 release?

Im also waiting on the release of the evcs with rfid

I see they used one with rfid for their marketing

any news on this? We want to buy one this year when possible…

Hi, we can’t say the exact date, but yes, NFC will be supported in V2

I understand that you cannot give an exact date. I work on product development as well.

I need to buy an EV charging station pretty soon as well, so could you give any estimate on the launch? Are we looking at this year, early next or maybe late next year? Thank you.
