Using DESS in Trade mode i noticed the last weeks a weird behavior.
The SOC set on 20%. If it hits 20% in the morning it will load the battery from solar till 23/23% because of low soc notice. At that level the low SOC notice is gone and discharges full speed to the grid till it hits 20%. The low SOC kicks in again and start doing this again. This means that for 3-4 hours all solar goes from battery and then to grid.
The DESS has planned 20% forecast battery level. And a low soc warning.
So there are 2 directives and those are in conflict.
And next to it there is no solar power going to consumption. The consumption is fed from the grid.
Any idea how to fix this behavior?
Added an example what happens on the battery.
When was the last time you charged the battery to 100%? It could be that the SOC is a bit off, so the battery is actually lower than SOC shows.
Charging it to 100% will correct that again.
2 days ago. Rouglhy every 4-5 days it hits 100%
After enabling and then disabling “battery life” in the ESS it is behaving normal again. Not sure for how long that will be.
And if i read the manual correct the “low SOC” should not even be active when battery life is disabled.
This “workaround” only working till the next discharge of the battery’s till low SOC setting is hit after that the low SOC notification is back. Cycling the “battery life” setting life option clears it again.
Question: Is this behavior by design as the documents states that this “Low SOC” only should be active when “battery life” is activated or is there an other option that is influencing this?
After changing the SOC in Cerbo to 17% and then back in DESS to 20% i did not observe this behavior.
