I am upgrading my off grid solar, previously 4- 6V flooded batteries, and a PWM controller. Replacing the 4 batteries with just two AGM 6V batteries and this new MPPT 75 15 controller.
I do not understand the jumper position.
What position do I use if I do not want it to equalize as I am using AGMs. I was not planning to buy an interface to communicate with the controller, and did not realize this model does not the the dial for battery presets. Thank you!
The jumper has nothing to do with the charging algorithm.
It only controls how the load output works.
To change the charging settings you need VictronConnect.
I did read the configuration and setting section before posting, I do not plan to use the load connections as I have a 600 watt inverter hard wired to the battery. You said the jumper is only for adjusting load settings.
If I just wire in the controller is it adjusted to charge the batteries correctly, it will not equalize, or do I need an interface to set up the correct battery profile?
Am I correct to not use the jumper as I am not concerned with the load? Thank you again!
You can leave the jumper disconnected if you dont plan to use the load output.
The standard charge algorithm is only three stage, there is no equalization. If you want to change things about the charge algorithm, you either need a VE.direct-to-bluetooth adapter and use VictronConnect app, or use an MPPT display
The standard settings are fine for AGM
Thank you!!
