In the VRM overview i have a different name for a JK BMS that is connected to the CERBO and sends its data to the portal.
I know you can alter names in the device list using on the portal “ remote console/settings/device/select the intended device/name.
But that doesn’t change the name in the VRM dashboard.
I know there is a possibility to have a different name for the same device on the VRM dashboard.
I know it for sure because i’ve done it before and i forgot how to do this.
I have the JK BMS battery banks in the device list listed as “ Battery bank 1 or 2,… “ and on the VRM dashboard as BANK 1 or 2,…. without the “ BATTERY “ name.
Toke BATTERY BANK 1 offline and was listed on the VRM dashboard as BANK 3. Now BANK 3 that is still active has the name BANK 1 on the dashboard so i had once messed things up.
Naming of , is done in a few places if I recall correctly.
I had same thing, then one day I was going through settings and found another place to rename. Go through all settings and make sure BMS is correctly named everywhere.
settings/system config/battery’s/select the one you want to (re)name/device => rename there. That name appears everywhere except on the VRM dashboard.
To edit the name that will appear on the VRM dashboard:
settings/system config/battery’s/battery measurements/(device will be there with the previous selected name). There you can select if it will appear on the VRM dashboard or not. Click/select the intended device and there you can set what ever name you want to appear on the VRM dashboard.
