Issue Recharging batteries in a van with solar and MPPT

I have a van with (2) 200 Watt solar panels connected to a Victron 100/20 MPPT charging (2) 200 Ah RENOGY Batteries. I have a DC fridge on at all times so there is a 4-5 amp draw on the batteries. I just switched from a Renogy’s MPPT to the Victory. The MPPT initially came on in Bulk mode, then switched almost immediately to the Absorption mode and then to Float. Is it possible to force it to Bulk mode until my batteries are charged? They continue to draw down and the Float is not enough for the battery to recover. Is this a parameter setting, or should I do a custom battery algorithm? HELP !!!

I assume your system voltage is 12v Renorgy batt in parallel? Send a screenshot of the history page from the Mppt so we can observe the behavior min/max battery voltage. Should you have the Bluetooth Renogy version also the cell balancing from the Bms. I would not do custom algorithm as Victron Mppt lfp settings is spot on.

Hey Brian, welcome to the community! So assuming you are running at 12V, the maximum power the MPPT will push is 290W @ 12V. Your friddge will be drawing about 60W at max, theoretically leaving 230W at max sun and performance. Could you send us some more specs on the panels you are using and the configuration to see if you are meeting startup voltage requirements? From what it sounds like the MPPT is not actually kicking into charge mode if it immediately goes to float, so also send us the current confuguration of your MPPT, as much information as possible, and then we can help you figure it out quick!

The most common reason a charger goes quickly though both bulk and absorption to float is the output voltage on the MPPT goes to the absorption voltage immediately because there is a poor connection between the MPPT and the battery so current can not flow. Check your wiring connections, switches, fuses and breakers. The easiest way to check this is with a multimeter, check MPPT terminal voltage and battery terminal voltage. You can also check on Victron connect app and battery app if it is a Bluetooth battery or other battery monitor. Multimeter is best as you are using the same meter for both readings. As said above, screenshots will help diagnosis. Several posts a week with this problem.
