Hello i have a victron os connected to my victron mppt. It is working great. It is connected to vrm and I can see data over internet on victron website. Battery are 24v.
I have another battery loaded by another solar panel. This battery is 12v. I want to use a smartshunt connecter to the same victron os to monitor the voltage and current of this 12v battery.
It seems it is working as I can see both voltage of the 24v battery and the 12v battery. But on vrm the battery voltage is now displayed with a min voltage at 12v and a max voltage at 24v. Vrm seems to think I have one single battery.
Is there a setting in the venus OS or in vrm to tell that I have one 12v battery that is separated from the other system ?
I still need to see the min voltage of the 24v battery.
Thanks a lot for your help
I have the feeling that on the venus OS there is already a problem. It is not a vrm problem but a venus OS.
When displaying the console of the venus OS, the voltage displayed is the voltage provided by the smartshunt connected to the 12v battery instead of the voltage provided by the mppt victron device.
I don’t find anything on the venus OS to tell the os that the smartshunt is connected to another system
I found a “solution”. That is to disable the battery monitor in the venus OS. Then the main screen is now correct and display 24v battery. And I need to go to the device list to see the 12v voltage.
But I don’t have access to the 12v battery in the main screen and VRM don’t log history for the 12v battery.
Is there a solution for that ?
After my correction now vrm display correctly the voltage of battery but there is no more history. So the vrm don’t display the min\max value … and the graph don’t display anymore the graph of the voltage.
Do you know why I don’t have any answer
Do I use the wrong forum ? Or maybe the wrong category of the forum ?
In vrm in the ‘advanced’ view I was able to add widgets and able to display all needed information.
But in the main view it is no more possible to have voltage or current information whereas it was possible before I added the smartshunt.
Before smartshunt : voltage current in the main page of vrm
After adding smartshunt : voltage current in the main page of vrm (but system informations were corrupted because the system think my main battery is the one monitored by the smartshunt whereas it is not).
After correctly configuring the smartshunt in venus OS (battery monitoring disabled and smartshunt not hidden) : data are no more corrupted, system correctly display the 24v battery and I can see the smartshunt voltage in the vrm. But the vrm main page no more display the voltage graph with min max value for each day in green.
