IP65 12/10 BT fails to connect iPhone

I purchased a VICTRON Blue Smart Charger, model: IP65 12/10 (1) 230 V CEE 7/17 Retail, part no.: BPC121031064R, serial no.: HQ25193****. Despite numerous attempts, the charger cannot connect to the VictronConnect v.6.24 app on my iPhone 13 Pro (iOS v. 26.2.1). Connection attempts usually fail at 20%. I borrowed an Android phone, and the charger connected to it and even updated its firmware. I changed the charger’s Bluetooth PIN to 000000, but it still fails to connect to the iPhone. What else can I do? Did I receive a faulty product?

This sounds like a bonding issue.

Maybe try “forgetting” the device in your Iphone settings and trying to re-pair with the device.

Devices are not paired using the native device pairing options.
It is done solely via the VC app.

Issue type: VictronConnect iOS.

Product: Blue Smart Charger. Serial: HQ25193ED2J.

Localization toggle not visible. Connection fails at 20% on iPhone 13 Pro (iOS 26.2.1). Android connects successfully. Request escalation to VictronConnect iOS team.

Did you look through the troubleshooting section of the manual?
If yes, add a service report to your next post.

20% is a very early state of the connection process and often happens if you tried to connect to the device with the phones Bluetooth menu and it is bonded there.
So go into the Bluetooth settings and check if the device is in the list there, if yes → delete the connection.

There’s nothing to delete - the charger not showing on the list.

And I didn’t try to connect with BT menu, only through the app.

To clarify.
The list on the phone BT so the phone pairing on its OS. Not in victron connect. What victron connect does is pairs it add it to the phone device list so it needs to be removed from there.

It means you will need to re pair after.using victron connect

If it is completely unpaired form the phone and that is what you mean and it sticks at 20% after that the the pop up for pairing isn’t appearing.

Not likely aa it worked with a different device. What is an issue here is this particular device.
