Morning I have 3x Victron Quattro 48/15000/200-2x100 on a 3 phase system. We are connected to grid but we have frequent power outages. I have 2 generators a 38 KVa and a 120 Kva connected in series between the grid power and the inverters. When grid fails the 38KVa generator in auto mode will start when my batteries reach 30% DOD. So the inverters see the generator power as grid power once the generator starts. I have grid power limit set to 32A. Recently the inverters would go into “pass through” mode as soon as the inverters start charging the batteries from the generator power. When I set the grid power limit to 16A and slowly increase it manually it will go up to around 27A but as soon as I go higher it goes back into pass though mode. It has been working fine for over 2 years when the grid power limit was set to 32A. Even on the 120KVa generator when I set the grid power limit to 63A it will just go into pass through mode unless I ramp it up from a lower amp value. Please help as I am at my wits end with this.
Is the “weak AC input” enabled in the VEconfigure charger settings?
These FAQs are also a good help.
Hi thanks for the info, for weak AC input I assume it should be switched off according to the this description:”2. Weak AC input option - If the quality of the supply waveform is less than the charger expects, it will reduce its output to ensure that the COS phi (difference between current/voltage phases) remains acceptable. This protection can be deactivated for low capacity or poorly regulated power supplies.”?
What firmware version has the Quattro?
