We have a Sim card installed in the GX LTE 4G.
Carrier is detected, signal is ok, sim status is ready. APN is set as provider advised.
Internet says “online”.
Only weird thing is that the IP address is abnormally long.

looks like an IPv6 address written in IPv4 notation.
Clearly a bug.
We will get a new one.
Hi, that long IP address is indeed a bug, I expect that we’ll have that fixed in the coming weeks.
Does the internet connection itself work ok?
Because we’re actually looking into two IPv6 related issues:
the ip address isn’t properly formatted / shown in the UI. Which looks weird but is otherwise harmless
DNS resolving doesn’t work, or something similar. Freshly reported and being looked into with urgency at the moment.
Thanks, Matthijs
Ps. I’ve moved this thread to the beta testing thread, just so its in a place where I’ll see it more often
Pour info, si ca peux être utile …
J’ai contourné le problème en installant la version béta 3.60.57 en France sur l’opérateur “Bouygues Telecom”.
J’ai toujours une IP v6 mais la connexion fonctionne.
FYI, if it can be helpful…
I worked around the problem by installing beta version 3.60.57 in France on the operator “Bouygues Telecom”.
I still have a v6 IP address, but the connection works.
Thank you Matthijs, it worked suddenly after removing the SIM card but after installing our application on site the GSM module stopped working.
We received a new one via our dealer. I hope this one is more stable than the one we had to return.
A new GX LTE?
If its the same issue that we’re working on fixing, then I don’t expect that that will help.
I might seem to help, since the issue happens when the modem gets an IPv6 ip address, and it doesn’t always get it. On the system we’re using to test, the type of IP address handed out by the telco differs per reboot.
The good news: we’re close to fixing this issue, I hope to have it in beta next week.
