Hi- i have a small cabin in switzerland for summer use. Panel is victeon305w, mppt 100/30 and 150li battery. I have an older phoenix 12-2000 inverter . My usage is only lamps and laptop and charging power tools. I think the 12-2000 is oversized and am considering to buy the newer 12/500 For lower idle draw. But not sure if it worth switching, whether idle draws are going to be really different ? Also, i want to have inverter on 24hrs as the eco mode works Only so so
If I’m reading the data right, the 12V 2000VA inverter has idle draw of 9W, the 500VA an idle draw of 6W. so only a 3W benefit, over 20hrs = 60Wh difference. (5Ah in 20 hrs) So no real benefit to change.
