I have a 48v system. The batteries only seem to charge and discharge in the 75-100% range

I have a 48v multiplus ii, 8 12v lifepo4 batteries wired to create two 48v battery banks. Two blue solar Mppt charge controllers that seem to be doing their job property. I get tons of solar during the day, more than I can use or store. And every day the batteries end in float at 100% however I can never discharge the batteries past 75% the state of charge on the smart doesn’t seem to be accurate no matter what I do. I set the float, absorption and charged voltage based off manufacturer recommendations. The batteries are also balanced.

Please add some more details about your system.
What kind of system do you have (ESS, RV, boat)?
What batteries do you have exactly (brand, capacity)?
What other components to you have?
What are the settings of the components?

58,4V seems a bit high for LiFePO4.
1600Ah would be 82kWh, seems a bit much.

I also think the battery capacity is set way too high, thats why the system is not calculating right…

I agree, it’s probably a 200ah system (8x200ah in series).

The key is what size are your batteries, if they are 8 x 100Ah your capacity is 200Ah, batteries in series do not add Ah to the capacity, only parallel, you have 2 in parallel.

Yeah, ofcourse, my bad! This is a 48V system with 8 cells, so probably a 2p4s system resulting in 400Ah total. I’m only wondering now how the balancing is organized…

You have to add balancers to balance 12v in a 48v config.

There is more in the battery balancer manual how to set up and in wiring unlimited.

You can even set up midpoint monitoring with a shunt.

I have 8 200ah lifepo batteries total. The brand is zooms/redodo its a standalone system. But I do have an rv connected to it via 30amp outlet. I have smart shunt which I screenshot the settings for, and two Victron Mppt which I also screenshot the settings for. Neither Mppt are maxed out but one is 150/100 and the other is 250/100

And I actually have balancers put on every 4 batteries.

Your battery capacity have to be set at 400Ah then not 1600Ah
