I can't assign a string to a CellID in venus 3.80~7

Hi all

I’m on 3.80~7, but the thread is closed. I assume, the changes have been implemented here as well.

Realized that the virtual Device / Battery has been updated and supports now more parameters.
this works great, I already implemented it.

just a question: is it by intention that the parameters

  • System/MaxTemperatureCellId
  • System/MinTemperatureCellId
  • System/MaxVoltageCellId
  • System/MinVoltageCellId

can not be written with strings?

As IDs are often more than a number, it would be great, if this could be changed.

Other than that, great, thank you

Yes, we close them for the moment, since there are users around who don’t understand that you need to create a new issue in the Venus beta area if you have an issue about a certain topic, while clearly stated that you should create a new one. It becomes a hard to follow mess if unrelated problems are answered in the same issue.

Apparently we have a new problem now, users posting in even unrelated issues.

yes, they are numbers.

@wolferl they are not it seems, but I typically see only numbers being used, sorry for that.

@jeroen
That is true, if you have one battery. If you use the virtual battery to aggregate more than one batteries, which would replace some dbus drivers doing that now, you probably like to have the highest cell voltage of all batteries and indicate that. eg B02-C15
