I’ve used my new ip67 successfully to charge my 100 ah and two 50 ah 12 volt lifepo4 batteries I use for trolling and occasionally to run a remote sump pump. However, this morning after attaching one of the normally discharged (probably 75% discharged) 50 ah batteries, the yellow light flashed a few times and then nothing happened. The app reported that it was still on the storage mode from the last charge. I’ve noticed before that it can take a few minutes before it recognizes that the battery state has changed (eg a different battery is being charged) and starts a new cycle. But this time I came back an hour later and it still was on storage mode.
In the past when this has happened it seemed that resetting the history triggered a new cycle to start. But I didn’t want to lose the history, so started fiddling with other settings – eg changing from 10A to 25A and back.
Nothing seemed to work, including powering down the unit, until I switched modes from Lion to normal and back. At that point the yellow light started flashing and a new bulk mode started at the full 10A.
This worked, and I can always repeat it, but I’m curious what the normal practice is when swapping batteries. Do people normally clear the history? I would have expected that I could save a battery name with the history for reference, but it seems as if the app is designed for use on a single battery rather than swapping, which is my use case.
