How to connect smartsolar 150/100 to PC using VE.Direct USB

I connected my Windows PC to my Smartsolar 150/100 using the VE.Direct to USB cable and when I load VE Connection software it does not see the controller. What am I doing wrong?

Hi @RobertSV

The way you describe the software suggests you may have the wrong one.
“VictronConnect” is the one you want. “VEConfigure” is for VE.Bus devices like inverters.

I am using the Victron Connect software, latest version. When I ask it to scan for devices, it says none are detected.

Turns out that after installing the USB drivers I was able to see my

controller.
