How quiet is an EasySolar-II 48/5000

Im being adviced to swap my noisy Epever UP-HI for the easy solar ,would it be quiet enough to have in a living space [i only have one room] not far from my bed .
also i have a bank of 8x 200ah AGM which i would use initially but would like to build a lithium bank of EVE cells with a BMS can you forsee any issues . the lithium would replace not add to the Agm PACK . WITH THANKS

Just look for “Humming” in the forum … then you’ll quickly end up with the new RS series …

thanks for the reply ,yes i see from other posts its a problem .will check out the rs

I cant find anyone who is saying just how quiet or noisy the rs series is [i would be looking at the 6000w] any ideas ,do you have one? would it be ok in a living /bed area? .i know people use them in RvS but i seem to be quite sensitive to noise.

The biggest problem is the “humming” caused by the pulsating toroidal transformer !!!
The RS series does not have a toroidal core but is an HF inverter and is absolutely “silent” as far as the “humming” is concerned.
The fans are of course still installed … but that is a different noise than the “humming” on the wall

Brilliant thankyou , yes its the fans on my Epever that are noisy and cut in and out even at night. but when i checked out the fans ,they are very cheap P/C jobs
. i would imagine these fans are better quality . I think i may install in the shed.

Hi @alanb and welcome to the club :innocent:
I just got the multi rs solar high frequency inverter. It’s very quiet, also I wouldn’t like to have itnear my bed
I’ve got a diy lifepo4 17s 2p with almost 34Kw ,ca 8kw pv power from two strings, off grid for almost a year now.Have a look if this inverter would fit you, even size and weight is heavily reduced…Best regards Frank
