Hello!
I have a Phoenix 48/375 inverter. I noticed that there is a spot on the housing that has changed its colour to yellowish because of heat (the spot is quite warm to the touch). I opened it and there is a 5W resistor beneath it which gets quite hot. Is this normal - whats the function of the resistor - some kind of ballast for the transformer?

Also the inverter makes some noticably humming noices, also - is this normal?
