Has the solar panel cooked my battery?

Hi, just found that my leisure battery was completely dead, I have replaced it but some of the figures are concerning me and I’m wondering if it’s because of these that my battery got cooked.
Solar output 22.89v this seems an awful lot on a 12v system.
Battery voltage 14.4v again seems a lot for a 12v system.
Are these figures normal or has the unit developed a fault and now needs replacing?
As you can tell I know nothing about this. Please help.

Some more information about your system would be really helpful.

Usually, if MPPT is correctly set for your battery, 14.4v is not uncommon for charging, float should be lower.

The 22.98v is for solar part of the MPPT which is perfectly fine. The MPPT is transforming/regulating the solar voltage to fit the battery type.

Thank you for your reply. I disconnected the feed to the battery. In your opinion is it okay to reconnect?

The correct connecting sequence is battery → solar → load.

This is to auto adapt MPPT to battery voltage.

There are other options but due to lack of information about your system, strongly advise to follow the manual.

Thank you.
