Has anyone used the VE transfer switch? I am exploring a possible upgrade. I might have my RV in a more remote place so I would like two have two inputs one for shore and one for a generator. I have a multiplus inverter, which has only one input so I was thinking of using the VE transfer switch to accomplish my goal.

I don’t see the need of an automatic transfer switch at the input of the MultiPlus.
I would install a manual switch like a “Hager SFB 225”.
I have considered a manual switch. I wasn’t sure I could still use the generator start feature if I used a manual transfer switch.
I tried it once with a generic ATS I already had. Just ended up with a horrendous relay chatter because the genset couldn’t handle the instant power draw. I returned to the manual switch.
You could still use gen start feature. Surely you’d know when you have no Shore, to enable it and switch over manually to gen supply. A Quattro rather than a Multiplus is the real solution.
Thank you @JohnC that is exactly the kind of info I was looking for.
