I have a Victron 1400 watt solar installed and noticed when I needed to charge batteries with the GenSet, it did not register it was charging. Someone said while the Victron charger is working, the GenSet charger see that that there is no need to charge. How do I resolve this. Seems there should be an easy way to turn the Victron charger off. I was never given an app.

Depending of what kind of device you might be able to just install a app to control it over bluetooth. Or it might need a GX device (a hub to connect lots of Victrons devices to.) This GX device enables you also to control it remotely over internet.
VE connect is a free download off the internet. Check your playstore or otherwise download direct from the Victron web site.
