Generator Autostart Voltage settings in a non 12V configuration still use 12V!

I haven’t used this function for a long time, and not since I upgraded from 24V AGM to LiFePO4 in an “almost” 48V configuration.

After trying out v3.50 and the new UI I rediscovered the functionality, and thought I try it again.

I think it’s strange to continue using the 12V base numbers for this setting, why not allow us to set this according to the battery pack??

I have 7s LiFePO4 modules in an "48"v configuration and therefore have low values
3.2 x 7 x 2 = 44.8V

Maybe you can only set the parameters when the function is selected ?

How should the Cerbo know at which voltage you want to switch the “generator”.
14 cells is not the normal 48V setup with LiFePO4.

I don’t expect the Cerbo GX to set this, I want to set the value myself without having to divide the value with 4.

I have the same issue. Any solutions here?

Why can’t you choose to auto generator start on SOC? Wouldn’t that solve the problem?

You probably first have to set and store the system voltage, reboot, then you can enter the correct voltages.

SOC and Voltage is not very much in “sync” in a world of Lithium.

For me the Voltage start is a backup should the SOC have lost track of reality.
i.e SOC 20% LifePO4 cell voltage 3V - SOC close to zero

We do many auto genstart installations and have never used voltage as the autostart trigger. SOC syncs to 100% at the conclusion of every charge when absorption voltage is reached and charge current reduces to tail current level.

The SOC only goes out of sync if the charging parameters are incorrectly set.

A week ago I drained my battery pack down to zero. SOC showed an incorrect 20%.

My LIFePO4 cell went below 3V and that’s not particularly good. They do however survive all the way down to 2V.

Anyway, on this topic of “I was now able to configure my Volt autostart at the correct Voltage”. I think I got tricked by the fact that the “Start when battery…” value is set first (it’s on the top) and it can not be higher than the stop value. When i adjusted the stop value first, I could set it to the correct value,

Please do not be confused by my strange settings below. My pack consist of 7s LiFePo4 modules, and has therefore these low voltage settings - the Victron Equiment works btw fine with this “low voltage battery”
