lol nah they didn’t know back then it’s only started to change now hell even the board partners Hager and the like where caught with pants down as a lot of the cheaped out in single pole
Yeah wonder about these and how it integrates I’ve been thinking about where I would install this in the Victron setup lol
I just tryed the online fast track optin, but unfortunately my inverter cant be fast traked because its over 7.5kw which is their limit. so looks like ill have to do it the complicated way ![]()
Hmmm is there not a normal online portal rather than a fast track part?
Wow how the DNO’s differ mine went straight through from 5kVA multiplus 2 upgraded to 10kVA in a minute literally.
ill have another look if theres a portal
Nope, i cant find a portal, this is the website i fall under:
https://connections.nationalgrid.co.uk/get-connected/solar-and-wind/fast-track-g99/
I Bit the bullet and opened the can or worms now as i have just emailed my DNO with the filled in G99 application form ![]()
Nice all the best keep us updated
If all this application red tape goes wrong or becomes too costly for me, as I only want to charge the batteries from grid, but run the system off grid, so essentially im using the mp2 as a grid battery charger.
Can anyone suggest a high power battery charger that could take its place at an affordable price,
(i find the victron ones way too expensive) so the mp2 has no wired connections to its AC input terminals, making it purely off grid.
maybe 2 chargers in parallel may also charge faster. ideally i want to charge at around 100A so i get enough storage during the 5 hours cheap rate charging time.
Well, ive just had my email with the answer.
Unfortunately they did not answer yes, they said i can only export 3.6kw which is that of my existing g98 system. So basically the answer is NO !
So i have the option to go ess but not export, and all the red tape and form filling, witness testing electrician costs, or keep the inverter off grid with no grid code or ess programming.
Your opinions, advice welcomed
