I got the codes R11 and S34 from a youtube tutorial
10:40 into the video.
S34 means storage and lithium polymer
What code did you put in yours?

Does the commissioning forms have to be sent off after this 1st application form? Im guessing this application for is basically asking for a yes or a no if i can connect it?
Didnāt have it or automagically filled it in when putting int the ENA approved inverter
No application first if they say yes then itās test and connect then commissioning doc as your saying itās all completed and works as should the G99 spec
So thsts two more forms after this first application?
AFK (as my 10 year old says): Everything is like Daza says, they are not there to catch you out, but there to help, stage 1 is to fill in the form - I did this nearly 12 months ago, for installer I put:-
Installer Contact Details - Contact Name
Installer Contact Details - Installers
Qualification
Installer Contact Details - Company Name
Installer Contact Details - Preferred
Contact
⦠all as TBA, the rest was my details : as on ours it seems that the final letter that you get comes from this part of the form.
No EICR needed.
On the initial form, most of it is generated by the system: in my case it was New Device: Device 1 - Device Ref : VICEN/02559/V3/A3
Phase 2 was just done over christmas 24, again: I needed the SLD, commisioing form*, and I sent off the ena cert - but the system seemed to have the correct details anyway.
this *comissioning form
Mine was with WPD: I dont recall having to manually input any details, as the system generated this, we have a MP-II 5000: the offer letter came back with
Note sure of the code I inputted, but the system generated
So didnt you need to fill in the test and commission forms and the company name and qualifications of the installer?
This seems too easy from what im seeing with all these forms i found
Why cant i simply fill it in online like you have? Can you possibly send me the link where your onling form is so i can see if i have a similar option from my dno wrbsite?
Also the forms have some challenging questions like the pgm power factor and other wierd questions.
And to top it off, i only want to use the inverter as a charger and be off grid.
I feel for you, as I had exactly the same, installed a few years ago, when the ENA approvals were down, so just connected via shore power, but wanted a true ESS system, as its so much easier to work with now we have an ASHP, in answer to your question, I cant remember what details i inputted, but it was pretty much seamless, and the system generated the forms, at least during phase 1, which was backed up via a dedicated named email contact.
mine was via:- https://connections.nationalgrid.co.uk/get-connected/solar-and-wind/fast-track-g99/ - or so I thought, but Iām not so sure, as it was all web generated, i just needed my address & invertor⦠but I cant find it.
Some DNOās donāt have online portals give your DNO a call tomorrow and ask if they do then go that route last modification to the system took a minute to come back with approval but that was the third time I done a request to them so not sure if itās the fact that I processed a few already for my address.
I just filled myself as the installer face it not many people willing or have the knowledge to install Victron
my biggest concern is that they will want to get somone out to witness test my system and charge upto 1k for the privaledge, which in my view is a rip off. because of my qualifications being only C&G224 @Daza and @Tig170 did you both need a 3rd party electrician to do the tests and certifications?
⦠I dont think you need a G99 then, but as youāve come this far, just keep going⦠it took me a year of wondering, but in the end it was a simple straight forward process.
oh fingers crossed

In my case, No, having said that Iām a Univ. Prof., so have a reasonable amount of experience, albeit at an academic level, and do help write design guidance codes, so if my home insurance come calling I can represent myself in court / plus I also chat this over my my teachnical team (who are qualified). At the G99 level, at least in my case (and did have WPD replacing my pole/dropwire & an EV charger installed recently) no electrician is needed or required for the G99.
However, Im having something similar now with Octopus, as Iām trying to see how far I can go - via a non-MCS install - currently they are requiring an electrical cert / building regulation cert⦠having spoken to my local council I can do a Ā£250 building regulation application, we are currently negotiating whether they need to send out an electicion or I need an expensive " witness test my system and charge upto 1k for the privaledge"
No witness needed for me but it depends on your DNO to be honest
PS @craigchamberlain got his on Octopus with out MCS, @mfred868 before I forget make sure the solar RCBO is bidirectional double pole as some have found out the circuit over heats passing through the neutral when tripped, if you look up efixx on YouTube you will see
Well if the solar rcbo isnāt bidirectional, it wont be my fault, because it was fitted by mcs approved solar installers back in 2015, so im sure they knew what they were doing even though theyāve gone bust since.
Iāve just replaced my RCBO to bi-directional (although I dont export anything much at present, as every single Kw is needed feeding the house
). Yes I know that Craig was the pioneer, and apperered to be the blueprint via Octopus for home/small business.
For now weāre very happy with our Bivalent heating system on a Grade 34 F EPC cottage. This year we should vastly improve the heat loss with a top class insulation technique.
