Our Narrowboat has a Fuelguard Fuel polisher. There is a temperature sensor that shows on my VRM. We ran our engine, only briefly for 10 minutes the other day to give it a run, and within an hour or so, I was getting temperature readings for the fuel polisher of appx 130° c. This surely can’t be right? I’m also getting erratic readings for the temperature on our calorifier, jumping by 10 degrees or so in almost no time, when the boat is unoccupied. I’m wondering if I got temperature sensors that need replacing, as I can’t think what else can be causing these readings. Any advice much appreciated.
Check the ground connections; some sensors give wildly incorrect readings when the ground is floating, or potential is being transferred through the sensors.
