What kind of temperature sensor is this?

Hello everyone,

A temperature sensor has just appeared in the VRM portal that I’ve never seen before. The portal supposedly last saw it 5 days ago.
All my Ruuvi Tags are still showing, and my SmartShunt is also displaying the current temperature, so I assume that the sensor connected here is working too.

Do you have any idea where there might be another temperature sensor connected as a device?

For example, you can connect the temperature sensor supplied with the MultiPluses to the Cerbo’s analogue input and configure it under Sensors on the Cerbo. It will then be displayed like this in the device list.
Perhaps you have configured a temperature sensor under Sensors in the Remote Console that isn’t actually connected?

Hello,

Thank you very much for the tip. I’ve just checked in the RemoteConsole and couldn’t find any activation.
I then checked Devices in the VRM Portal, and now it seems that the system has detected the temperature sensor again. I still don’t know what it’s supposed to be, though.

I’ve just tried it… if you briefly activate the temperature sensor once and then deactivate it again, it remains listed in the device list as not connected.
You can try selecting “Remove disconnected devices” at the very bottom of the device list in the Remote Console…..

Hello,

Many thanks for your effort. Then it seems to me that this is a bug.
But it showed me that it had detected the sensor.
It doesn’t bother me any further now, as the system works overall. Still, it seems strange to me.

temperature sensor 25 is normally the first temperature sensor on the Cerbo. however, it could also be another device, as the numbering is not fixed 100%.

I thought that too at first; for me, 25 is the second entry. The first one is 24.

Are there actually any other Bluetooth or Wi-Fi temperature sensors that can be integrated with the Cerbo, apart from those made by Ruuvi?

Yes, among others, from Safiery, but you’re better off with Ruuvi price-wise.
