I have a Fronius Symo 15 Advanced full with data manager connected to a three phase Victron system (3 x 15000 Multiplus II) and 90 kWh Lifepo4 storage. I have updated the Symo to its latest firmware. I keep getting error code 560 thrown up from the Fronius when the frequency rises to throttle down the Symo. I find that I am only able to alter the grid settings by going into the display on the Symo and typing the code seven - three - eight - eight - seven. I have not figured out in any other way to alter the microgrid settings. I also am not able to see what the grid settings are now. In addition I am not able to see where to change the frequency slope or frequency lower and upper limit in the Fronius. Is anybody able to help? Thank you. I mostly just want to get rid of the 560 notice on the Fronius..
Does anybody have experience with a Fronius MG50? The frequency settings I have set in the multiplus are 50.2 Hz to 51.9 Hz and cut off at 52.2 Hz.
I was hoping to be able to set more precisely the Symo’s behaviour when it relates to the MG50 settings. Or at least the grid settings, but it seems that eve with installer privileges I am not able to via the web interface.
To be clear, it does work. It just looks bad towards my client to have this error code constantly featured on the Fronius… and I feel like I am missing out on settings that I don’t see.
Using Fronius Symo in customer installations with no problem. (Older Symo though - not the “advanced”).
With the older systems (Symo, not the “advanced” flavor - running with 3f Quattro 5kVA) I never changed frequency slope, upper/lower limits on the Fronius itself, also nothing on the Victrons except activating PV Inverter assistant. Only thing necessary was to set the MG50 on the Fronius itself.
I’m right now setting up a Fronius Symo Advanced 15 with 3 x 10kVA Multiplus, will do the config end of next week. Should I run into any trouble will post here, otherwise we can compare the setup in more detail.
i have a few things to say about this, we are a few weeks later and the issue has been resolved.
doing comms via modbus has removed the error all together. it seems that frequency shifting only approach (which really does work well actually) will always result in the 560 error.
here is what fronius had to say about it:
The fact that the inverter is showing status 560 indicates that the grid frequency dependent power reduction function is active. This is a feature configured in the Setup MG and is required for proper interaction with the Victron inverter.
This means the inverter has been correctly configured, and the status code is simply an indication of the operating mode.
So if you want to get rid of the 560 error. Modbus is the only way. otherwise, it is no problem. it is more of a indicator of being throttled. as weird as it looks to the client.
