Forecast Consumption is Twice Forecast Battery Usage

For some reason I have a consistent 2 to 1 ratio between my Forecast Consumption and the Forecast Battery Usage, as shown on the DESS charts. I would have expected these to be identical.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Between 22:00 and 23:00 I am solely on Grid but again there is a mismatch between energy levels. Am I just misunderstanding how these charts work?

I have managed to work out the answer to my own question - again. I am sure it is good for the grey matter.

The area of the curve is quite linear and it just so happens that the difference in battery charge level between any of the 2 hours is about 4%. 4% of a 16 kWh battery is 640 Watts. The difference between the two readings is about 580 Watts.

Therefore the difference between consumption and battery usage is equivalent to the reduction in state of charge. Obvious when it is pointed out.

I have left this posted as it might just help somebody else.
