It would be useful if GX Digital Inputs could optionally be configured as action buttons instead of only alarm/status inputs.
Examples:
- Toggle Relay 1 or Relay 2
- Turn a relay ON for a configurable duration
- Turn an inverter ON for a configurable duration
- Activate a Virtual Switch
Typical use cases:
- Inverter ON for 60 minutes
- Water heater ON for 10 minutes
- Simple push-button automation in marine and RV installations
Today these functions require Node-RED. A built-in Action mode for Digital Inputs would make common use cases much easier to implement while still leaving Node-RED available for advanced automation.
