Feature Request: Orion XS switching when BMS shuts down

Hello everyone in the Victron world,

I use two Orion XS 1400 units on my catamaran to charge the lithium batteries when the engine is running. Today I updated the firmware to the latest version, and there is now an emergency charging function. This gave me the idea to ask the following question.

My system consists of a LYNX NG, Victron Lithium NG batteries, a Cerbo GX (with DVCC enabled), two 12 V / 90 Ah AGM Deep Cycle batteries for the engines, three MPPTs and a MultiPlus-II.

If the LYNX-BMS switches off the service battery bank, for whatever reason, the entire onboard electrical system for navigation fails, even though the engines are running and the alternators are supplying power.

In this case, surely the Orions could switch to power supply mode and thereby power the onboard electrical system, including the Cerbo GX.

In the past, boats had manual changeover switches for situations like this, but they are rarely installed these days.

I’m interested to hear your thoughts.
Thanks,
Norbert
