I have a PV Island system running which consists of a few Victron Components. In the summertime when there is much excess energy to charge one of the cars the EVCS wallbox works just perfect in Auto mode. But every now and then I need to charge more energy than the sun will deliver. If I switch to manual mode, the charging will not start if the battery SoC is not between the limits defined by “Start charging at backup battery SoC (%)” and “Stop charging at backup battery SoC, if Off Grid (%)”.
It would be nice if the manual mode were independent of these limitations so that the car could be fully charged – using grid power if necessary.
